1. I have broken up with Grays Anatomy. I have not enjoyed it one bit this season and I am NOT going to watch it this week. In order to stick to my resolve, I have already made sure it won’t be recorded.
2. I recently won a one-year membership to a brand new gym and spa (and everything else) and I love it. It makes me smile. Blue and I went this morning after our Musikgarten class. We have a sweet life. (Blue is the foster kiddo.)
3. Speaking of Blue... I am breaking down The Husband’s resolve. It has only taken about a year but he’s finally agreeing that when we get to adopt Blue we should make Blue his legal name. (And not just his nickname.)
4. Speaking of kids... I am seriously considering a home birth but because I'm on Medicaid, the home birth route will cost me money but a hospital birth would be free. In the meantime I am doing lots of reading and trying to get in the bestest, healthiest shape so I can do something like a home birth and not die from the pain.
5. I had a lapse last week where I started listening to Christmas music. I regretted it that very same evening and made a new play list heavy on The Killers, Sister Hazel, and Coldplay. I love my new play list and I’ve played it at least once every day since. I wonder what my kids will think of these songs when they are older – if they will remember them fondly as songs of their childhood or not at all?!
6. The most fun I’ve had so far with holiday shopping was going through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s global missions gift catalog. Especially nice to see all the projects for the Romany because I know someone who was a CBF missionary for this people group and I just read an interesting article about the Romany in the most recent issue of World Ark.
7. I’m obviously not doing NANOWRIMO – I did get so far as to do some character sketches of the people my main character meets in the second part of the book. J I still support all those hard at work for NANOWRIMO – keep writing!
8. Go, Gators! We’ve got another National Championship in sight!
9. I’ve covered tv, sports and music – what about movies and books? I’ve not allowed myself to read anything new since Twilight. (I say new because I did do a quick reread of two old favorites.) I don’t have time to get “consumed” as I have a tendency to do, but I am compiling my list of what I’ll try to get from the library before we go out of town for the holidays. Anything I should put on my list? One I plan to start on is Anne Tyler's Accidental Traveler.
10. As for movies, I’ve not seen a movie in a long time. Netflix is on hold and we were too tired to go see W as we’d planned when my mom was in town and we had a free sitter. We are going to see Twilight this Sunday though.
